If anyone wishes to purchase albums for the retreat, you will need to pre-order them through Peta & Scrapbooking from Scratch.

They are the beautiful We are Memory Keepers Classic Leather and come in a variety of colours. They are high quality made and come with 10 page protectors included.

Tentative Timetable

Here is a run down on the timetable for the retreat so far......I reserve the right to make changes at any time!!

Friday - arrival anytime after 3pm
Friday night class - using Sass Lass
Sat morning class - Blind challenge with Peta using crate paper
Sat afternoon class - using October Afternoon Be merry (yes, get some christmas photos organised!)
Sunday morning - surprise challenge using the scraps from your class kits!

Of course in between all this there will be lots of scrapping, chatting, laughing, drinking, eating, more eating and challenges along the way!

Stocking up!

Today I had so much fun shopping for the class packs and stock for the retreat, you are all going to love it!!! I will be able to show you some sneaks of the class kit colours very soon....

Now that we are officially booked out I really need you all to pay your deposit (if you haven't already!) and I will need everyone to have paid $130 by the 15th of Feb. I have to start paying our venue and for the scrap goodies :)

Well only 4 months till our retreat! how exciting......I haven't really got any new information for you as yet, but I will be starting the class plans soon!

RETREAT 19th, 20th & 21st MARCH 2010

We would love you to join us for a weekend of relaxation & scrapping in a beautiful country setting. Retreat to Main Creek features 2 very large comfortable recreation rooms in which to scrap, as well as a fully self contained cottage in which to sleep! We will also be fully catered for all of our meals by gourmet cook & host, Marion. Those who attended last year will remember how wonderfully we were looked after – the food was awesome!!!

When: Friday 19th March from approx 4pm until Sunday 21st March 2010

Where: Retreat to Main Creek, 877 Main Creek Rd, Via Dungog

Cost: Full weekend includes 2 nights accommodation at the Bower Cottage, dinner Fri night, 1 workshop Friday night, breakfast & morning tea Sat & Sun, Lunch Sat & Sun, afternoon tea Sat & Sun, dinner Sat night, 1 workshops on Saturday & 1 workshops on Sunday (all materials supplied) = $260

OR

Friday night and all day Saturday = $190

OR

All day Saturday through to Sunday =$190

The three workshops held over the weekend, all have a full product pack included.

Aside from the workshops and extra optional challenges, the rest of the weekend is freestyle scrapping!!! So come along and do as many pages as you can! All you need to bring are your photos, and as many scrapping materials as you can fit in your car!

There will be scrap products available for you to purchase if you wish. We are lucky enough to have our very own scrap shop at the retreat, supplied by Peta from Scrapbooking From Scratch. If you are needing particular items, you should contact Peta or I in advance so your specific order can be arranged.

A non-refundable deposit of $50 will be required when booking, to secure your place. Please note that there will be a maximum of 16 places available, and those booking the full weekend will be given preference. To book your place or for more information, please email me at scrappykate@bigpond.com

And a great time was had by all.....

It all went so fast, and now our retreat has come to an end. It was so fantastic, I had such a fun time and I hope everyone else did too!! I want to thank everyone who came you were all such good sports with the minor flooding LOL and such awesome company!! My stomach muscles are still sore from laughing. We ate well thanks to Marion (love you mum!!) laughed well, drank well and scrapped really well!!! Thanks again, hope you will all be attending next year....

Ok, so apart from the obvious all things scrapping, you will need to bring LOTS of photos, clothes, pj's, a towel, swimmers for the pool, alcohol and munchies are optional and most importantly your sense of humour!! be prepared to laugh A LOT!!
I have a special little gift for Jaimy, Carol, Tash, Michelle, Haylie and Kylie who were all fully paid up by the due date - thanks girls!! don't let me forget to give you your little pressie :)
Peta has been busy buying AWESOME new goodies for the "retreat scrap shop" and has bargain basement prices especially for you girls!!

1 week to go!!!

I can hardly believe it! just one week till we are scrapping like mad women LOL. There are now 2 more places available due to some last minute withdrawals, so if you have a friend available to come let me know.....

WOW I can't believe how fast February is going, there are only 3 weeks today till our retreat, and I can't wait!! Hope you are all excited and have started packing LOL....

Class time schedule

FRIDAY NIGHT ~ 8pm
class using tones of brown, olive green and orange, 5x7 portrait photo required. will suit boy or girl photos, and also heritage photos. Very versatile page.

SATURDAY
10.30am ~ Blind challenge with Peta, using a Basic Grey lucky dip paper pack (photo requirement TBA)

3pm ~ Girly LO class using the Teresa Collins crush pps of pinks and reds. 2 6x4 (trimmed) portrait photos or a 5x7 landscape photo will suit.

SUNDAY ~ 10am
Bits and pieces challenge using mixed packs (photo requirement TBA)

Saturday afternoon class sneak

here is a little sneak peek of the Saturday aftenoon class, as you can see it is very girly!! I have used 2 portrait 6x4 (trimmed to 4.5x4") photos but you could also use a landscape 5x7"
